With Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 well underway the government has flagged key areas for development for innovation that will improve the nation’s competitiveness. Innovation will be the foundatpion of Saudi Arabia's National Transformation Program. With it the nation can improve economic competitiveness and enhance efficiency.  
In a recent World Economic Forum’s latest Global Competitiveness Report Saudi Arabia made significant progress in several judicial indicators.  For instance in the 'efficiency of legal framework in settling disputes' it rose four places to be ranked 17th and maintained its ranking in the 'legal framework’s adaptability to digital business models' amongst other key improvements in its global standing.  The significant progress was through the levels of support granted by the government it its focus to develop the justice system.
With our regional roadshow of legal innovation event, the timing is perfect to host this session in Saudi with a view to focus on the current and future landscape.  This will be an invitation only event, whereby we will directly reach out to key decision makers in from leading law firms, and private enterprise, and vet any registrations to ensure the audience remains relevant and focussed.

Day 1 will focus on a pre-conference workshop, a number of roundtables and a networking dinner for key delegates.

BLOCKCHAIN LAW WORKSHOP - [HALF DAY]

This workshop discusses some of the primary blockchain law issues that will need to be handled across jurisdictions in the region and abroad.  

This workshop will provide a practical overview of blockchain law from its three primary sub-groups:

  • Corporate Funding by ICO/ITO/STO (Initial Coin/Token Offerings, or Security Token Offerings);
  • Ongoing Blockchain Operations; and
  • Enforcement/Litigation.
